(North Vancouver) With more than a metre of fresh snow over the past two weeks, Grouse Mountain is pleased to announce that the fourth-annual Snowshoe Grind Challenge will take place on Saturday, March 15 at 10:00 am atop the Peak of Vancouver.
Suitable for participants of all ages and fitness abilities, the Snowshoe Grind Challenge is an ideal way to test your snowshoe fitness or simply get outside with friends and family for some outdoor fun.
For those strapping on their snowshoes for the first time, hitting the trail with a young family or wanting a more moderate route, the recreational category of the Snowshoe Grind Challenge is a lower-impact workout around Blue Grouse Loop that will take approximately a half hour to complete.
“With plenty of new snow and excellent conditions at the Peak of Vancouver, the Snowshoe Grind Challenge is the perfect way to get outside and enjoy winter at its best,” said Grouse Mountain general manager Michael Cameron. “Snowshoeing is great fun for people of all ages and abilities and we can’t wait to welcome them to Grouse Mountain next Saturday for what we know will be a very exciting event.”
With prizing provided for the top male and female finishers along with the first place winners in each age category, participants are encouraged to register in advance of race day to take advantage of savings.
