The flakes have started falling and that means winter is well on its way. It also means... new gear! We checked in with our retail team for a look at some of this season’s hottest trends as well as their top picks when it comes to gearing up for winter.
Trends
For this coming season we see a resurgence of jewel tones for the ladies. From solids and colour blocking to patterns, there will be lots of blues and turquoises as well as red's, pinks and purples. For men we're seeing predominantly red's and blue's, but you'll still find lots of neutrals for both men and women. Look for styles in greens, browns with some grey's blended in. You'll also find traditional fall colours like gold and orange resurface for men's snow sports apparel.
Top Picks for this Winter
1. Helmets with integrated visors are on the rise. The beauty is they eliminate the need for goggles and all the challenges that come with them like fogging etc. The look is very euro, but you're sure to start seeing them on the slopes this winter. We like this version from Salomon - available in both Men's and Women's styles.
2. Icebreaker has a new Insulated Jacket line that is there lightest and most technical yet. Talk about beautiful and functional. This is sure to keep you warm and on trend this winter!
3. Stance socks continues to kill it with their Snow designs. Comfortable, functional and oh so stylish. We like these Long Way snow socks that feature an additional degree of cushioning, ventilation, thermoregulation, and are constructed with the softest merino wool. Sure to keep your tootsies toasty for all those Park laps this winter!
4. Native Footwear has unveiled their new lightweight rainboot - the AP Rain. Designed in Vancouver, it's lightweight and totally waterproof! Perfect for keeping your feet dry while getting to and from the Mountain all season long.
