(North Vancouver) Grouse Mountain Resort’s annual Peak of Christmas celebration returns Friday, November 22nd to Wednesday, December 25th, 2024. 

The perfect holiday backdrop, guests of all ages will be transported to a winter wonderland, complete with snow, Santa and his real reindeer, brilliant light installations, roving entertainment, and Christmas movies in the Theatre in the Sky.

“Our Peak of Christmas activities allow guests to really immerse themselves in the festive season,” said Madelaine Twomey, Communications Manager at Grouse Mountain Resort. “The elves are hard at work preparing the mountaintop for the highly anticipated arrival of Santa Claus at Vancouver’s North Pole and for all its visitors to enjoy this magical holiday experience.”

This year, guests can enjoy: 

Santa’s Workshop 
• Dates: Daily; from 11am – 8pm (hours will vary) 
• About: At Santa’s workshop, believers young and old can share their special Christmas wishes and take their holiday photo. Guests this year will be able to digitally reserve their spot as soon as they get to the mountain allowing them more time to enjoy Peak of Christmas festivities instead of waiting in line. For a donation, guests can also take their photo with Santa with all proceeds going to Family Services North Shore. 
• Tickets: Included in Mountain Admission 

Elf Headquarters 
• Dates: Daily; from 10am – 8pm (hours will vary) 
• About: Elf Headquarters inside the Chalet will keep the little ones busy with a host of activities including Letters to Santa, ornament decorating, and other crafts. 
• Tickets: included in Mountain Admission

Skating Pond 
• Dates: Daily; 10am – 8pm 
• About: For outdoor fun, take a spin on the 8,000 square foot Mountaintop Skating Pond surrounded by majestic views. The only mountaintop outdoor skate pond in the Lower Mainland, it’s great for a fun family adventure or a romantic date – lace up those skates for a spin in the fresh mountain air! 
• Tickets: included in Mountain Admission. Rentals available for all ages. 

Light Walk 
• Dates: Daily; best experienced from dusk – 9pm 
• About: Experience magic in the trees on the enchanting Light Walk. The entrance is marked by a glowing light tunnel, just off of the mountaintop Skating Pond. Lights along the path around Blue Grouse Lake allow guests to snowshoe or walk in the winter night where they will see new and enhanced features including an illuminated bear standing at 8ft tall and 14ft long. The glow of light against a majestic mountain backdrop is not to be missed!

Breakfast with Santa 
• Dates: Select dates in November & December 
• About: An annual favourite, the Breakfast with Santa program is a time-honoured tradition where guests enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet, visit with Santa Claus himself, and share in the joy of the season with his elves. Held in Altitudes Bistro.

Theatre in the Sky 
• Dates: Daily; on rotation from 9.30am – 8pm 
• About: An escape from the winter conditions, our mountaintop high-definition cinema Theatre in the Sky will feature a range of holiday movies including Christmas classics and family favourites. 
• Tickets: included in Mountain Admission 

Kids Tree Canopy Adventure 
• Dates: Daily; 11am – 5pm 
• About: Climb from treehouse to treehouse through cargo nets, balance games and wavy bridges! Get your feet back on the ground through the curly slide or the obstacle chimney. This adventure is fully contained, requires no special safety equipment, and is ideal for ages 3 – 8. 
• Tickets: included in Mountain Admission 

 The Peak of Christmas will take place at Grouse Mountain Resort from November 22nd – December 25th, 2024. Tickets go on sale November 7th, 2024 with Family Rates starting at $99 for two adults and two children, plus additional discounts for Family Annual Pass Holders.
