fitness focused snowshoe tours

This session is a fitness focused tour available for intermediate to experienced snowshoers who want to push their fitness limits and work their way up the Snowshoe Grind after dark! Feel the thrill of speed walking and jogging up the backcountry illuminated with headlamps. Your seasoned snowshoe guides and fitness instructors will give you tips and tricks to invigorate your snowshoe fitness levels.

The fitness evening starts with a warm-up, transitioning into the backcountry speed hike, some snowshoe specific strength building exercises, and a cool down and stretch at the end. Headlamps, guided backcountry tour and snowshoe fitness expert included. Feel free to bring your own gear if you have it

Each snowshoeing session is 2 hours. Pre-registration required; no day of program drop-in available. Must be 13 years or older for registration and have a good foundation fitness level.

Whether you're a seasoned hiker looking to take your skills to the next level or a first-time adventurer eager to explore the winter wilderness safely, this tour will help you build the confidence and competence to explore snow-covered terrain.

backcountry exploration snowshoe tour

Join us for a 2 hour backcountry snowshoe adventure to Thunderbird Ridge (conditions permitting), where you'll experience the mountain wilderness at night. The trek begins after daylight fades, and the trail leads through snow-covered terrain, quiet forests, and open meadows. The sound of your snowshoes crunching in the snow is the only noise as the night sets in. With moderate elevation gain, the path steadily climbs toward the ridge, and as you snowshoe down the ridge, you'll be rewarded with views of the surrounding peaks and valleys, bathed in moonlight or starlight. The quiet of the night, combined with the vastness of the snowy landscape, creates an unforgettable atmosphere.

This guided trip offers a rare opportunity to enjoy the backcountry under the stars, far from the hustle of daily life. Whether you're looking for a peaceful escape or just want to see the winter landscape in a new light, this night hike will leave you with lasting memories of the mountains after dark.

social snowshoe for a cause

Join us for a heartwarming community social snowshoe event! For just $5, you can be part of an unforgettable winter gathering with friends and neighbors, all while supporting a worthy cause. All proceeds from this event will be donated to North Shore Rescue, a vital organization dedicated to saving lives in our local wilderness.

To ensure a smooth experience, pre-registration is required. Strap on your snowshoes, bring your community spirit, and come together for a fun-filled evening on the backcountry trails. No participant will be left behind and all will be encouraged to walk or jog at their own pace.

Your seasoned snowshoe guides will give you tips and tricks to invigorate your snowshoeing, while stopping at breathtaking lookouts along the way.
