Grouse Mountain Eat Local Recipe Contest
Buy fresh and support sustainable initiatives!
Create your own menu item in the Grouse Mountain Eat Local Recipe Contest.
October 1, 2008
North Vancouver, October 1, 2008 – You are invited to share your favourite original or family recipe that makes use of sustainable foods originating in the Lower Mainland. At Grouse Mountain, Chef Dino L. Gazzola is dedicated to sourcing the finest and freshest regional ingredients available, creating memorable dining experiences for the discerning palate. Chef Gazzola would like to add your favourite shared meal to the Altitudes Bistro menu, and learn how to make it from you in person in a Cooking with Dino video.
The Altitudes Bistro already includes great dishes for sharing such as the Baba Ghannouj, the Oven Baked Potato Skins and the famous Grouse Mountain Nachos. The west coast wild salmon is a delicious favourite from the large dishes, local flavours and worldly techniques that give the province its unique character. Send in your shared meal recipe ideas throughout the month of October, and your sustainable dish could be selected and enjoyed by many!
Looking for inspiration? Why not consult Ocean Wise and Green Table to reference local and sustainable ingredients. With such an impressive variety of fresh and delicious sources of food right here in our own backyard, the possibilities are endless!

The names of all recipe contest participants will be entered into a draw for an unparalleled dining experience for two at The Observatory.
