The popularity of the Grouse Grind is undeniable. In the Lower Mainland, over 100,000 people take to the trail every year and by leveraging this enthusiasm for the hike - the annual Grind For Kids campaign aims to raise funds for B.C. Children’s Hospital.

Grinders are encouraged to sign up and ask friends, family and co-workers to pledge $1 or more for every Grouse Grind they tackle throughout the season.

Participants’ progress can instantly be tracked during the campaign using the specially designed Grind For Kids timer and website allowing for friendly competition and real-time results. Prizes are also awarded every week to top pledge - collectors and hikers.

Register today at grindforkids.com

Once registered, each participant gets a personal webpage that they can use to send pledge requests, record Grinds completed and share information and goals. Don't forget to reward yourself at our Grouse Grind Social Nights every Wednesday night at Altitudes Bistro. Kick back with like-minded outdoor enthusiasts, listen to the beats of one of our resident DJs, and enjoy great food and drink specials.

The Grouse Grind is a 2.9 kilometre trail with 2,800 feet of vertical gain up the face of Grouse Mountain. It is commonly referred to by Vancouverites as “Mother Nature’s Stairmaster”.
