Grouse Mountain is excited to host The Grom Series Jam, hosted in partnership with BC Snowboard and Canada Snowboard. The Grom Jam will consist of a fun day of introduction to competition, with coaching in the morning and a park jam in the afternoon. Coaching is provided by BC Snowboard-certified coaches. Come out and meet other young athletes and your local coaches! Spaces are limited, so be sure to register early to save your spot.

Skill requirements: 
  • The participant can load and unload the chairlift unassisted 
  • The participant can link heelside and toeside turns.

Event Details: 
Date: Sunday, December 29, 2024 
Time: 9:00 am - 2:30 pm 
Meeting Location: Base plaza at Grouse Parks (parents must drop off and pick up kids) 
Ages: 7 - 12 years old 

Notes:
  • Registrants to arrive dressed for mountain weather with all their gear ready to go!
  • Please pack a small snack for them to carry in their pockets 
  • This event is for snowboarders only
  • If you do not have a current 24/25 athlete membership and this is your first event, you can purchase the "Limited Event Membership" for this activity.
  • Helmets mandatory for this event!

Itinerary: 
  • 9:15am - 9:30am: Check in, Base plaza 
  • 9:30am - 11:00am: Skyride to mountaintop, coaches introductions and group warm-up
  • 11:00am - 11:30am: Lunch 
  • 11:30am - 11:45am: Head to terrain park                              
  • 11:45am -1:45pm: Park jam/ style                              
  • 1:45pm - 2:00pm: Awards/raffle/goodie bag 

Participation for the event is $30 (BC Snowboard membership fee) with a winter season pass or lift ticket. Event registration does not include Mountain Admission, if you do not have a Pass or Ticket you can purchase one online or in person at Guest Services at the base of Grouse Mountain. 
*Participants under 18 years of age must have their legal parent/guardian on site to drop them off/pick them up at the designated meeting area.
