Grouse Mountain Raises Over $20,000 for Family Services of the North Shore
Funds were raised in 2023 through event proceeds across the Easter weekend, and donations from photos with Santa at The Peak of Christmas

In 2023, Grouse Mountain Resort’s Easter on the Peak, and Peak of Christmas celebrations raised much needed funds for Family Services of the North Shore, a non-profit, community-based agency, committed to making a deep and lasting impact from Deep Cove to Bowen Island and everywhere in between. Through various event proceeds across the Easter weekend, and donations from photos with Santa, we are proud to have raised more than $20,000 for this incredible charity.
This donation will be directed towards Family Services North Shore’s Thrive Family Programs and Community Hub. Both of these programs reach hundreds of families and individuals who need support throughout the year and with this donation, Family Services North Shore can ensure that they are able to continue to support the most vulnerable in our community and reach even more people who need their services. As an example of the difference these programs are making:
Thrive Family Programs had 12,760 visits in 2023, including:
✔ 10,370 Snacks and meals provided
✔ Free counselling
✔ Free programming to families
✔ Free breastfeeding support
✔ Referrals and access to our mental health and other programs
✔ Connection with community and other families
The Community Hub supported 1000’s of individuals and families in 2023 including:
✔ 2,275 people supported by the Christmas Bureau
✔ 790 bags of groceries delivered to vulnerable families
✔ 1780 meals delivered to isolated seniors
✔ 1,200 personal care kits provided
✔ Connection days for all clients
✔ Gently used clothing for all clients
In 2023, Grouse Mountain’s choice of charitable partners had a hyperlocal focus to support our immediate neighbors and community members. These include Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation, Family Services North Shore, and North Shore Rescue through events such as the Grouse Grind Mountain Run, Seek the Peak, the Multi Grouse Grind Challenge, Easter on the Peak, and Peak of Christmas. Across these events, we were able to raise more than $75,000 collectively for these charities, directly benefiting those in our local community. We are very much looking forward to continuing the support of these amazing organizations in 2024.
