Coastal Sound Children’s Choir, Diana Clark, artistic director

Coastal Sound Children’s Choir aims to inspire each young singer to be their best–as musicians and as contributing engaged citizens–through choral singing. Children’s Choir consists of creative and dedicated young people from diverse cultural heritages, ages 10-15 years old. Storytelling, joy of singing, and artistic connection are the core values of this group.

The choir also loves to learn from guest conductors and share with other choirs and performers. This season they have collaborated with DragonDiva Opera Company, and have performed at the TEDxKids BC conference. Recently, Coastal Sound Children’s Choir recorded with Michael Bublé and appeared in his 2013 Christmas Holiday TV Special. In 2012 they were guest singers in Vancouver Chamber Choir’s “A Dylan Thomas Christmas” show, and in 2013 they exchanged with Linda Beaupré and Guelph Youth Singers.

Throughout the past 25 years, Children’s Choir has performed at important cultural events–including the Olympics– throughout Greater Vancouver and Whistler, and has toured extensively throughout the world. Listeners can hear Coastal Sound Children’s Choir on CBCmusic.ca streaming radio.
