(North Vancouver) Grouse Mountain is excited to announce that this year was the most successful Family Day long weekend ever, topping last year’s record setting results. Over 25,000 guests visited the Resort to celebrate its 90th winter season and partake in a variety of activities from skiing and snowboarding to snowshoeing and skating as well as the annual 24 Hours of Winter celebration.

“We were thrilled to see so many guests enjoying time with family on the Mountain in this action-packed long weekend” said Grouse Mountain’s Communications Manager, Julia Grant. “We were greeted with spectacular conditions for our Family Day activities which included a pancake breakfast in support of North Shore Rescue that raised $2,000 through donations and was topped up to $5,000 by Grouse Mountain.”

With such a wide variety of family-friendly activities like sleigh rides, the Sliding Zone and our mountaintop Skating Pond plus excellent skiing and riding, Grouse Mountain is the perfect place to spend time with family. The weekend’s activities also included a Sunrise Snowshoe Tour, a Junior Pond Hockey Tournament, a Park Jam, a DJ Skate Dance Party and many guests stayed through the night during 24 Hours of Winter to view the sunrise on Sunday morning.
