August 23, 2017
(North Vancouver) In celebration of a fantastic season on the Grouse Grind®, the 27th-annual Grouse Grind® Mountain Run presented by VPG Realty Inc. will hit the trail on Saturday, September 16th.
This Vancouver classic welcomes participants of all ages and abilities to take on the iconic trail, known as Mother Nature’s Stairmaster, in an effort to set a new record, beat their own best Grind time, or simply complete their first hike to the Peak of Vancouver.
After completing their hike up the Grouse Grind, participants are encouraged to join in the fun at the post-race celebration in the Mountaintop Plaza. Festivities will include award presentations, a recovery zone, BBQ, music and interactive sponsor activations.
This year’s event features a cash purse for both male and female top finishers.
- 1st place: $1500
- 2nd place: $750
- 3rd place: $250
New for 2017, a course record incentive has generously been provided by the event’s title sponsor, VPG Realty Inc. An additional $2,500 will be awarded to the top male and female finishers should they break the current course records (Male: 25:01 Female 30:52).
Most importantly, the event encourages participants to raise funds in support of BC Children’s Hospital. In addition, Grouse Mountain will donate a portion of each registration from the Grouse Grind Mountain Run to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
