Created in collaboration with award-winning Chef Alex Chen, Executive Chef, Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar
August 19, 2020
(North Vancouver) Grouse Mountain is excited to hold a special Chefs’ Grill Dinner on Saturday, August 29th. The menu featuring six courses plus two amuse, is a collaboration between Grouse Mountain’s Corporate Executive Chef, Jack Chen and Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar’s Executive Chef, Alex Chen.
“I am excited for the opportunity to cook outdoors in the natural surroundings of Grouse Mountain and I especially love cooking over wood-fire,” said Alex Chen, Executive Chef, Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar. “The versatility of the grill we’ve designed allows for a variety of cooking techniques and ingredients that will be showcased throughout the menu.”
Each course is centered around a specially constructed wood-fired grill on Altitudes Patio. This multi-level open grill connects each dish to the rustic elements of the mountaintop environment, creating a multi-sensory dining experience. The collaborative menu showcases the bounty of B.C. with locally-sourced, seasonal elements. Enjoy each flavourful course while taking in the breathtaking views of the city, ocean and surrounding mountains from Altitudes Patio.
“It is a pleasure to collaborate with Chef Alex on this special dinner,” said Jack Chen, Corporate Executive Chef, Grouse Mountain. “While our individual cooking styles are unique, each course of this collaborative menu is very complementary while being enhanced by the natural setting of the mountaintop and distinct flavours imparted through the wood-fire grill.”
Chefs’ Grill Dinner will take place on Altitudes Patio from 5pm to 8pm on Saturday, August 29th. The menu featuring six courses plus two amuse is available for $115 per person and includes Mountain Admission. Reservations are limited and seating will be done by social bubble with a maximum of six people per table. Due to the outdoor nature of the grill, the dinner is weather dependent.
