Grinder and Coola have emerged from hibernation! To visit our resident Grizzly bears this weekend, follow the signs on the mountaintop for the best route to the bear habitat. With snow on the mountain, we recommend wearing sturdy, weather-appropriate footwear.
Great news, hikers! The Grouse Grind is officially open today, Friday, April 18th from 7:00am. The trail is now open daily from 7:00am - 6:00pm.

This past Saturday, July 21st, Grouse Mountain hosted a visit by Hives for Humanity (www.hivesforhumanity.com) who helped us launch our bee education endeavors based around our four new hives!

Hives for Humanity is a local non-profit organization whose mission is to help spread bee knowledge and respect throughout urban communities with a focus on at-risk communities.  They promote the therapeutic benefits of bee keeping.

We hosted an educational table with honey sampling stations and even brought over a couple frames of bees from our hives so our visitors could see them hard at work!

As well, we held two hive tours where we took a group down to our new bee hives and had them follow along as we inspected them to see how they were doing.  It was a big hit and everyone had a great time watching and learning about these amazing creatures.

Stay tuned for more info regarding our honey bee program and future tours!
