Construction is underway on a transformational lift replacement project at Grouse Mountain Resort. As the first stage of work located in the easement area west of the Grouse Grind progresses, Grouse Mountain Regional Park and all trails within the park will be closed from October 31st – November 14th, 2022. Due to helicopter operations related to building the new gondola, it is critically important for all visitors to stay out of the area. Helicopters will be transporting extremely heavy loads multiple times a day.

The Park will be closed Monday to Saturday, but open on Sundays as weather conditions allow.

Up until the Park closure on October 31st, Grouse Mountain Resort remains closed for scheduled annual maintenance until November 4th, 2022. During this time, there will be no access to the Skyride or mountaintop facilities. As downhill travel on the Grouse Grind is not allowed, please visit Grouse Grind Trail for how best to descend the mountain.

Lift Replacement Project
The state-of-the-art gondola will replace the aging Blue Skyride and mark the start of a new chapter for the Resort leading up to our 100th anniversary in 2026. The new lift system, which includes a total of 13 towers and 27 eight-person gondola cabins, will allow Grouse Mountain to return to just above its original capacity when both the Blue and Red Skyrides were fully operational.
