Grouse Mountain Moment Contest - Aug. 6

Best moment at Grouse…so many to choose from as I bring every out of town guest up there, which so often ends up being the highlight of their trip. Brought up an Englishman in the summer, who was very taken with the Eye of the Wind, the Grizzlies, and the wolves. Also took up some Irish folk the day after they landed in Vancouver on a one year work visa. It was the middle of December, clear, dry and fabulous. It was their first time in Canada and the drive up and whole experience was a Winter Wonderland for them. Took an American guy up in the winter who had never seen snow let alone been ice skating. Strapped some skates on him and sent him on his way! Rubbing elbows with Gretzky during the Olympics certainly didn’t hurt either – accompanied by the likes of KD Lang, D Squared and a few others involved in the Olympics. 

But if I had to pick, my favourite time would be emcee’ing the wedding of one of my favourite ladies in May 2010. The wedding was spectacular, the bride was absolutely stunning and the setting was picturesque – intimate room for dinner and speeches, delicious food and fantastic service, and an unbelievable view of Vancouver at night – breathtaking, really, and still one of my favourite moments to reflect on.
