Booking Confirmation

Thank you for choosing Grouse Mountain as your child’s destination for learning to ski or snowboard. Our professional instructors will provide your child with their undivided attention and highly focused instruction in a fun and non-intimidating environment. Included in this letter is important information regarding your program, please take the time to read it carefully.


Ski Wee & Wee Rider Meeting Area 

The Ski Wee Meeting Place is located atop Grouse Mountain just outside the Peak Chalet at the bottom of the staircase exiting the Skyride. A Ski Wee Greeter, wearing a blue jacket, will be standing at the bottom of the stairs holding a red Ski Wee Flag and will assist you in boarding the sleigh ride (weather permitting) that takes you to the Ski Wee building. Please make your way over to the Ski Wee building for all of your rental equipment. After the lesson is complete, you will need to pick up and sign your child out at the Ski Wee building.

Rental Information

Please note that all rental equipment is located and will be provided at the Ski Wee Building. Please do not go to the Rental Outpost for your equipment. Upon arrival at the Ski Wee building an instructor will help get your child outfitted with rental equipment if applicable. Please make sure that we have the correct and most up to date information (height, weight, shoe size, ability level) as this will help the process run smoother. 


Lesson Notes

Children are grouped with similar ages and ability. Please ensure that at the time of booking you enrolled your child in the appropriate ability level as we cannot guarantee that we can move them to another group the day of lessons. Actual time on snow will vary depending on weather conditions, ability and stamina. Children who are in the early stages of learning will take more frequent breaks throughout the day as needed to rest and recharge.


Safety in the Learning Area

For safety reasons, we kindly ask that you watch your child’s progression from outside of our red fenced “Learning Area”.


What to Wear

Please ensure that your child is equipped with the following and that all belongings are labelled:

• Helmets are mandatory for all lesson participants. Please ensure you have a helmet designed for recreational snow sports.

    o Helmets are included with all rental packages for children.

• As Mountain conditions change rapidly, dress your child in layers and appropriately for the weather. We recommend:

    o Warm base layer such as long johns and long-sleeved shirt 

    o Warm fleece or sweater

    o Waterproof winter jacket and snow pants

    o Warm socks

    o Waterproof gloves or mittens

• We recommend ski googles, a hat and extra socks. These items are not available to rent.

• If your child is renting, please ensure they have winter foot wear as they will be walking through snow to access the renal building.

• Your child will be provided a snack, of a juice box and a Sun Ripe Fruit Bar, however please feel free to pack them more if necessary. If your child has any allergies, please let us know.


Please be aware that Ski Wee is an entirely tree nut and peanut free zone. For the safety of the participants and instructors we ask that you do not pack any nut products in your child’s lunch or snack.


Tickets (Child/Escort)

Both the child and the escort will require a ticket to get up the Mountain. Tickets for either 1 day, or 4 days, are will be received via email shortly after the time of purchase. If you have purchased tickets and do not receive the email please contact Guest Services.


Adult Discounts on Lessons

As you registered your child for a Camp you are eligible to receive discounts on lift tickets and a 10% discount on Day Lessons or any Adult Program. Call Guest Services for further information.


Day of Lesson

Be sure to check the current mountain weather and activity information on our website at Today on Grouse.


Should you arrive late for your Ski Wee or Wee Riders session, our team will endeavor to join your child with their group during snack/break time. However, should you arrive after 10:30am (AM session) or 2:30pm (PM session), we will not be able to have your child join the session in order to limit any disruption to the learning environment. Thank you for your understanding.
