$5000 cash? Check. Winner-take-all? Check.

This year marked the first appearance of a new style contest here at Grouse Mountain. With the help of Push.ca we launched the Quiksilver Filmmaker Showdown — a contest that challenged five of the region's best snow industry filmmakers (and one music video production company) to come out and capture Showdown Over the City how they saw it. The results were five completely different experiences, and five amazing videos of the event.

Voting began this week over at Push.ca. Follow that link to check out all five videos, read about the filmmakers as well as cast a vote for your personal favourite.

The crews included:
  • Capri Studios
  • Ryan Kenny & Ben Webb
  • Andrew Santos
  • Green Couch Productions
  • NuuLife Cinema
We'd like to thank every one of the filmmakers that came out and did such an amazing job at capturing the event and exposing the event as well as their work to the world!

True, only one crew will walk away with the $5000, but we are so impressed with every one of the videos and what the teams produced. Check them out, and vote!
