$172,000 Raised for BC Children's Hospital
Grind For Kids 2010 campaign raises a mountain of money for sick kids in BC

Wednesday June 22 marked the official kick off for the 2011 Grind For Kids campaign. Grouse Mountain President Stuart McLaughlin presented the cheque for the $172,000 raised in 2010 to Stephan Forgacs and Shelley Sainsbury from BC Children’s Hospital. Also on hand was former patient Colton Boechler and his family, top 2010 Grind For Kids fundraisers, Grouse Grind Ambassadors and a host of North Vancouver firefighters. A group of avid Grinders then tackled the hike to get the campaign off to a roaring start.
Last year, 4535 Grinds helped to raise $172,000 and this year’s campaign is aiming to double this effort with a goal of $350,000.
