Program Overview

This interactive program is ideal for Biology students. Following a brief overview of phyla, students will identify and classify mountaintop flora and fauna. If desired, you can add on a 45 minute GPS activity in which students will be taught basic GPS skills, and will use what they have learned to find and identify five local plants.

Field Experience Overview

The curricular component of this field experience focuses on the Phyla of Grouse Mountain, located in the Coastal Douglas Fir and Coastal Western Hemlock Biogeoclimatic Zones.
