Science of Snow
Grouse Mountain, in conjunction with Jim Wiese (Physics Instructor, University of the Fraser Valley), is pleased to offer this program that combines snow activities with specially designed science curriculum packages (materials will be emailed to the school upon registration) with skiing/snowboarding, or a combination of skating and snowshoeing.
This program includes observations and measurements of selected aspects of skiing, snowboarding, skating or snowshoeing, applying mechanics, thermodynamics and other elements of the physics curriculum to outdoor winter activities.

Secondary Science of Snow
Includes observations and measurements of selected aspects of skiing/snowboarding, skating or snowshoeing, applying mechanics, thermodynamics and other elements of the Physics 11 & 12 curriculum in outdoor winter activities. Students can choose from skiing or snowboarding. Program pricing is listed below.
Elementary Science of Snow
This program includes snowshoeing or skating and compliments Grouse Mountain’s 1-Day or 4-Day ski or snowboard sessions. Curriculum activities match the science IRPs for Grades 4-7.

Program Dates & Time
The secondary program is only available on January 18, February 13 and March 8, 2012. The elementary program is offered Monday-Friday, January through March. Both programs run approximately 9:30am-2:00pm.
