Grouse Mountain, North Vancouver, B.C. – Love the Grouse Grind? Looking for a winter alternative to keep fit in the outdoors? Set your time on the new Snowshoe Grind open today.

Escape into the serene beauty of a natural winter playground that begins a few steps away from the Peak Chalet. Hike solo or bring friends and family to tackle our new 4.3 km Snowshoe Grind course.Set off from the Peak Chalet and journey to Dam Mountain on the challenging alpine trail, and time yourself using a Snowshoe Grind Timer as you follow trail markers along the course.

Be among the first to try winter’s newest, greatest workout. Located mountain-top, the Snowshoe Grind is a steep, snowy loop that begins just outside the Chalet, travels up to the Dam Mountain summit, and then fast-tracks back to the Chalet.

Want to be in Grind shape at the beginning of the summer hiking season? The Snowshoe Grind also allows hikers to track their time and progress. The Grind Timer has been relocated to the alpine area. Scan when you begin and scan again upon completion. Times will be recorded and posted – just like the Grouse Grind.

Grouse Mountain has translated the intensity and accomplishment of the Grouse Grind into a new winter experience, and the Snowshoe Grind promises to keep people of all ages fit.

Starting at the relocated Grouse Grind timer, outside the Chalet adjacent the Skyride ramp and just southwest of the skate pond, the Snowshoe Grind is the perfect way to keep the hiking season going all year long, giving hikers the appreciation of the snowy winter landscape.

To access the Snowshoe Grind, a Ski & Snowboard Pass, General Admission Ticket or Annual Membership is required. The Snowshoe Grind is open in daylight hours, seven days a week in the winter (check Mountain Report for current conditions).
