Admission Activities: The Peak of Christmas

Sleigh bells ring, choirs sing! During the month of December, the spirit of Christmas comes alive with a magical celebration and a multitude of festivities on top of Grouse Mountain.



Bring your family to Santa's Workshop and meet reindeer, or take a sleigh ride* through our mystical alpine forest. You can also experience the tranquil beauty of skating on our 8,000 square foot mountaintop Ice Skating Pond, surrounded by snow-topped trees.

Learn more about Santa's reindeer at our daily ranger interpretive talks or have a digital photo taken with Santa to keep a memento of your Peak of Christmas visit!

Visit the Theatre in the Sky to enjoy classic Christmas movies on our large high-definition screen. Or listen to joyful Christmas carols sung by the enchanting voices of Vancouver choirs.

Visit the spectacular SOS Children's Village Parade of Trees in the Spirit Gallery starting December 2nd.

These fabulous Peak of Christmas activities are all complimentary with your Grouse Mountain Admission, Annual Membership, Winter Pass, or Lift Ticket.

*The sleigh ride requires adequate snow coverage over all areas of the plateau in order to operate. Please check our Mountain Report before your visit to confirm its availability during your visit.

Breakfast with Santa - December 18-24, 2010
Treat your children to a memorable meal with the jolly man in red. Call 604.980.9311 for tickets to Santa's Breakfast, complete with a buffet brunch and children's entertainment in Lupins Café.

Corporate Parties

Sibel Thrasher and The Gospel Explosions
Sibel Thrasher, (nominated best gospel singer of the year), and The Gospel Explosions are nothing short of amazing! This 5 piece group will shake your spirit and fill you full of glee when you hear them. Come hear all your holiday favorites with this light hearted and soulful ensemble. 

Move the Mountain Gospel Choir
Move The Mountain Community Gospel Choir is a new experience in musical joy! Directed by international recording artist, Sharon Bryson, this choir sets the mood for the holidays and fills your spirit with warmth on a chilly day.

NOEL
Don't let Victorian gowns confuse you. NOEL may be decked out for holidays of old, but sings a delightful
   
mix of old and new in full three part harmony. Trio extraordinaire, NOEL are women from all over our lower mainland, combining to enchant you with musical treats.

Fandango Quartet
Fandango Quartet has been entertaining across the lower mainland since 1999 with their ringing 4 part a cappella harmonies.  These 4 spirited women have over 35 years combined performing experience and count Grouse Mountain as one of their favourite places to perform!

Jillian Lebeck
Whether performing as a soloist or with her swinging jazz trio, Jillian Lebeck plays jazz standards plus some fresh takes on pop classics. She has played at many of Vancouver's finest venues, performed at numerous Jazz festivals and been a featured artist on CBC. Los Parranderos
Los Parranderos are Venezuelan Christmas carolers singing Venezuelan Christmas classics.

Doe Bender
Exquisite Jazz Vocalist Doe Bender and trio provide their audience with sounds of flute, guitar, and acoustic bass turning their music into smooth jazz and easy listening. MEI Chamber Singers
The MEI Chamber Singers is an exciting a cappella high school choir from Abbotsford. They have received many national and international awards and performed alongside many internationally acclaimed performing artists.  For more information on the MEI Chamber Singers, please visit www.meimusic.com.

Jessica Zuch & Susan Lepin
Jessica is an accomplished pianist.  She received her Masters degree in music with an emphasis in Jazz Arranging and Composition at UNLV in Las Vegas.  While living in Vegas, she performed in many exciting venues, including Bally's and the Liberace Museum.

Susan has performed in many venues around San Francisco as the lead singer in a blues band.  She has also been a soloist in the VOC Soul Gospel Choir.  Currently, Susan is involved in leading music at her church in downtown Vancouver.

Alexander Krahe
Voted best Blues guitarist in Vancouver CAN (1992), Alexander Krahe is an accomplished guitarist/vocalist who excels in all music styles. His first love is Jazz & Blues, but he also enjoys Country, R&B, Pop, and Latin. For the past few years, he has toured all over the US, Canada, and Europe, and on cruise ships as a band member (bass/guitar/vocal) and as a solo artist.  For more information on Alexander Krahe, please visit www.siegelent.com.

Goby Catt & The Catt Pack
Goby has toured extensively in countries ranging from Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States. He has opened for music legends Tony Bennett and Al Jareau at Sydney's Star City Casino. John Gilliat
John is an excellent Latin guitarist in the Nouveau Flamenco style. He has opened for such pop artists as Sofie B. Hawkins and world beat artists, Strunz and Farah. John performs concert tours to promote his CD "Peace" with his own Rumba, Flamenco, World Beat group. Clare Brett
Clare comes to the music scene with a strong background in French and English folk songs for children. Her diversity in style, including Jazz, Blues, Classical, Folk, Country & Western, helps create a unique, entertaining and interactive performance. Santa's Brass
Santa's Brass which formed in 1994, is a lively and colourful Dixieland Jazz Band who play the trumpet, trombone, tuba, and drums. This group has performed at many events including the PNE, BC Lions Football games and the Royal Hudson - Jingle Bell Express.
