Observatory Server

One part time position available

Responsibilities:  

  • Greeting and serving guests at tables according to outlined Observatory standards 
  • Coordinating delivery of food items with the kitchen 
  • Maintaining the physical integrity of the dining facility from table set-up to bus-station mis-en-place 
  • Following cash-out procedures as set forth by the accounting department 
  • Following gratuity distribution procedures to ensure that all support colleagues are treated equitably 
  • Cooperating with management in other departments and assist as needed 
  • Being available and receptive to training programs such that we may provide knowledgeable and professional service at a competitive level

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum three years fine-dining experience preferred 
  • Proficient in the service of classic dishes, with a proven level of comfort with culinary terminology 
  • Solid grasp of wine and cocktail service, with a well-rounded knowledge of the same in order to recommend and up-sell quality products to guests 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills 
  • Excellent Customer Service skills 
  • Excellent employee and public relation skills, and of a naturally friendly and co-operative nature
