Seasonal positions available

Responsibilities:

• Actively touring the mountain and maintaining rope lines, tower pads and snow fences. 
• Assisting patrol with the set up and take down of speed control fences. 
• Enforcing Speed Control and Alpine Responsibility Code in Grouse’s slow zones and congested areas. 
• Educating staff and guests to the components of the Alpine Responsibility Code. 
• Assisting guests who are having a difficult time or feeling unsafe. 
• Acting as a Grouse ambassador for guests with questions, complaints and queries 
• Acting as a safety resource for all staff from all other departments and assisting where required in creating good safety culture at Grouse Mountain Resorts Ltd. 
• Removing snow from areas such as atriums, roofs and cornice control from buildings.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Strong risk management skills 
• Intermediate skiing / snowboarding ability 
• Strong motivator, problem solver and team player

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Knowledge of ropes, knots and fall arrest systems 
• Introductory first aid certificate such as Standard First Aid or Occupational First Aid level I 
• Customer Service training
